Author and de facto ghost historian Andrea Janes has launched a 90-minute walking tour in Greenwich Village, exploring the stories of historical women believed to haunt the area. The tour, which includes stories from Gertrude Tredwell and Theodosia Burr, is led by Janes who has been giving ghost tours since 2011. She attributes her audience to the vulnerability of women living in a state of constant vulnerability. Nearly 70% of her business is done in October, but she aims to create tours around other holidays such as Women's History Month. Janes believes her tours are unique due to their historical accuracy and nuance. The only available date for the tour is March 28, but it may return in September.
