A new poll by Quinnipiac University has found that Republicans and Democrats are generally in favor of military action against Iran, but also share Democratic concerns about deploying U.S. troops in the country. While 85% of Republicans support the war, only 37% approve of deploying American soldiers on the ground. Nearly 9 in 10 Democrats also oppose the war. Among all respondents, 53% oppose the military action and 74% are against a ground deployment of American troops. The poll's findings come as President Donald Trump and Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth have declined to rule out the possibility of sending American soldiers into Iran.
