Mercado Restaurant, a unique restaurant inspired by Latin American markets, will open its doors in Worcester, Massachusetts on Friday. The restaurant will offer a fusion of Ecuadorian and Peruvian flavors, with dishes such as fried yuca croquetas, churrasco, and jalea. The owners, Juan Maldonado and his sister Melanie, will operate the business along with a partner, Jose L. Morillo, who have been involved in the food industry for over 20 years.
