Utah approves 5 new productions for film incentives — including a ‘Yellowstone’ spinoff

The Utah Board of Tourism Development has approved five new productions for state film incentives, including a second season of "Marshals," a spinoff of "Yellowstone," which was partially supported by the Utah Motion Picture Incentive Program. The productions are expected to have an economic impact of $69.5 million and create 1,000 jobs across six counties. The Utah Film Commission announced that these productions will utilise Utah’s iconic filming locations and local businesses. The approved slate also includes a Hallmark film, Food Network series, Hallmark Christmas, Food network series, feature film "Las Vegas Therapy," and independent feature “Brotherhood: A Cinematic Musical” The 2026 Utah Legislature approved $3 million in ongoing funding for the Rural Film Incenture program.
