Twins pitcher Kody Funderburk and his wife, Alicia, have had a child named Murphy Jo Funderburgk. Alicia was diagnosed with Hodgkin's lymphoma during the pregnancy and underwent chemotherapy. Since her birth, doctors are optimistic she will make a full recovery. The diagnosis was not disclosed until after Murphy Jo was born. The family has been publicly supportive of Alicia's struggle to cope with the illness.
