A teacher, Alex Buetkofer, was arrested following a Joliet police undercover sting at a McDonald's in Yorkville, Illinois, McDonald's. The operation involved a text-based undercover operation, where detectives communicated with Buetikofer under the guise of a student, who he believed to be a current female Aux Sable Middle School student. The conversations became increasingly sexual in nature and highly inappropriate, and were escalated to administrators. Buetikkofer was arrested after the operation and charged with two counts of aggravated battery and one count of Indecent Solicitation of a Child. He is being held in the Kendall County Jail, not the Will County jail in Joliet. The incident occurred after concerns were raised about inappropriate behavior towards female students and inappropriate after-class interactions.
