The suspect, Cole Tomas Allen, is expected to be charged in federal court with two counts of using a firearm during a crime of violence and assault on a federal officer using a dangerous weapon. The shooting occurred outside the White House Correspondents' Association Dinner, the first one President Donald Trump attended while in office. King Charles is set to visit the US to celebrate America's 250th birthday and mend Britain's relationship with the U.S. Additionally, Elon Musk and Sam Altman are set to go on trial in a trial that could influence OpenAI's future. Allen was armed with a shotgun, handgun and knives when he rushed a security checkpoint and ran toward the ballroom where the dinner was being held.
