Examples include an algorithm run by an Indian man named Sam, a MAGA model with millions of followers, and an AI-coded influencer named Ana Zelu, who has amassed over 300,000 followers on Instagram despite her bio stating she is an AI. Despite this, fans continue to feel connected to these platforms. Forensic psychologist Jonathan Alpert suggests that people don't need to need to feel real to feel responsive to them.
