Undocumented immigrant claims US uncle ran off with $2M lottery prize

Ruby Reyes, an undocumented California woman, claims her uncle pocketed a $2 million scratch-off lottery jackpot after she asked him to cash the winning ticket. Reyes purchased the $20 ticket at a local Santa Rosa liquor store and turned it over to her uncle, believing he would cash it and return the money. Despite Reyes' fears, undocumented immigrants are not barred from claiming winning lottery tickets but are subject to paying federal and state taxes. Reyes has filed "legal action" against her uncle and the California State Lottery.
