The Carnival Legend, which departed from Galveston on Tuesday, rescued a stranded sailor and his cat while on its first night at sea. The rescue took place around 8 p.m. The man and the cat, named Dahlia, were safely brought aboard and the operation lasted about two to three hours. The sailor was unharmed and did not appear to be injured. After the rescue, the cruise resumed its scheduled itinerary.
