81-year-old veteran dies weeks after being struck by 14-year-old on e-motorcycle in Lake Forest

An 81-year-old Vietnam veteran, Ed Ashman, was struck by a 14-year old boy on an e-motorcycle in Lake Forest, California, on April 16. The boy's mother, Tommi Jo Mejer, was arrested and charged with felony child endangerment, being an accessory after the fact, and contributing to the delinquency of a minor. It is unclear whether additional charges will be filed against the teenager or against the mother.
