A statewide freeze warning has been issued for all 21 counties in New Jersey, except those closest to the Jersey Shore. Temperatures could drop as low as 22 degrees in northwestern New Jersey and widespread temperatures in the low- to mid-20s are expected. The National Weather Service predicts that Monday's high temperatures will be below normal for late April. The record low for April 21 at Newark is 31 degrees, which could be broken. The weather service predicts that temperatures will moderate throughout the week, with temperatures expected to reach mid-60s across much of the state by Wednesday.
