Two Lincoln bars lose licenses following double homicide investigation, allegations of sex trafficking and drug violations

The Lincoln City Council voted unanimously to end liquor licenses for The Office and Playmakers, following allegations of multiple violations by the Lincoln Police Department (LPD) including a double homicide outside The Office in May 2024. The LPD also found numerous violations related to sex trafficking, drug trafficking and prostitution. The ownership of The Office, Playmakers and a former owner, Dan Thomas, have been indicted on federal fraud charges.
