Winding Creek's first day of school symbolizes continued growth in West Roseville

Winding Creek Elementary, the newest school in the Roseville City School District, opened its first-ever first day of school in West Roseville. The opening ceremony was marked by balloons, cheerleaders and a drum line. This is the seventh new school to open west of Fiddyment Road since 2008, and the school's first principal, Susanna Ramirez, noted it is the district's first two-story campus. At full capacity, the school will serve up to 650 students and is expected to reach 16,000 students across 23 campus.
