The Station North Tool Library in Baltimore is hosting a "Fix-It Fair" on April 18 to help repair broken items. Volunteers will assist attendees in repairing broken items to prevent them from ending up in landfills. The event is run by volunteers and partners with local organizations such as Baltimore Bicycle Works, B.Y.K.E, Prophecy Instruments, and DPW. The library offers tool borrowing for DIY projects, one-time tasks, or those who prefer not to store tools. The director of programs, Jenn Kim, emphasized the educational aspect of the event, encouraging attendees to learn how to fix their items. The membership is a sliding scale membership, so we don't turn anyone away for lack of funds.
