Construction has begun on a new Walmart Supercenter in Wildomar, California. The 185,682-square-foot store is expected to expand local residents' access to groceries, pharmaceuticals, household goods, and everyday products. The project was initially approved in 2015 but stalled and was at risk of losing its entitlements. The city has worked with the property owner and developer to streamline processes and remove obstacles. The Walmart store in Eastvale, California, opened in January and will add to the more than one dozen Walmart locations across Riverside County. The construction represents one of the largest commercial investments in the city's history and will create hundreds of construction and permanent jobs.
