Scammers are targeting local pastors with artificial intelligence 'deepfakes', posing as them and encouraging their congregation to invest in cryptocurrency. The Better Business Bureau of the Mid-South has not reported any reports of this type of scam. However, there have been numerous impersonators using social media and text messages. Whitehaven Pastor Earle Fisher has also had multiple impersonators impersonating him on social media.
