After 80 years of serving Chicago-style hot dogs, California hot dog shop Caspers Hot Dogs has closed its doors. The shop, known for its classic "Caspers with Everything" dogs, closed its location in Richmond, California on May 8. Manager Eric Strong expressed sadness over the closure, stating business was slow and he loved working at the shop for 20 years. The Richmond location was sold to Cortland "Corky" Booze, who plans to reopen it as Corky's Famous Hot Dogs. The remaining locations are located in Dublin, Hayward, Oakland, and possibly in Scotland.
