Artist Damon Lamar Reed and his wife Nicole Reed have created the Still Searching Project, a project that brings the faces of missing women and girls across Chicago to light. The project includes over 31 portraits of missing individuals and places them near where they were last seen. Each portrait carries a QR code with a message indicating the identity of the missing woman or their family. Nicole Reed, who also contributes to the project, said 30% of those who are missing are African American women/girls aged between 10 and 20. The StillSearching Project is holding a community paint day on May 2 at a local event.
