Meta launches new ‘prescription optimized’ smart glasses

Meta has launched two new styles of smart glasses, the Ray-Ban Meta Optics Styles, designed specifically for those with less-than-perfect vision. The frames come in a rectangular “Blayzer” style and a circular “Scriber” version, which also feature overextension hinges, interchangeable nose pads, and adjustable temple tips for better fit. The glasses will be available for preorder from April 14th for $499 and support nearly all prescriptions, a change from the previous version of the Meta Ray-ban Display. The company also announced new software features, including AI-powered nutrition logging and hands-free WhatsApp summaries, and two new games for Display users.
