Family members push for traffic safety at candlelight vigil for hit-and-run victim

Eddie Cruz Ochoa was crossing Kewalo Street when he was hit by a hit-and-run driver, killing him just yards from his home. A candlelight vigil was held for the victim, with over 100 family members urging for traffic safety measures. The driver is still being sought for his involvement in the accident. The family is urging the driver to come forward and share their grief over the loss of their precious son. So far this year, six of the 13 traffic fatalities on Oahu have occurred on the island involved pedestrians, including two who were in marked crosswalks.
