Miami Beach Police are urging property managers to crack down on high-rise social media stunts, which involve teenagers climbing to the top of high-rises for a social media stunt known as "urban exploration." The stunts, often posted online, show teens balancing on top of buildings and posing for photos atop buildings. These individuals often sneak into properties and climb up emergency staircases to reach their destination, and some videos show them breaking down doors. Miami Beach Police Officer Christopher Bess called it a concerning trend that involves teenagers using force to gain access to stairwells and potentially committing burglary. The police have not been made aware of these stunts previously, but are hoping property managers will assist them in preventing this reckless trend.
