The construction of the new USS Cleveland, the first Navy warship commissioned in Ohio, was influenced by contributions from several companies throughout Greater Cleveland. The announcement was made by Greater Cleveland Partnership and included global paint giant Sherwin-Williams, Lincoln Electric torches, Cleveland-Cliffs, Parker Hannifin, TransDigm, Swagelok and Eaton for materials and expertise. The ship is set to be commissioned on May 16 and is the Navy's newest littoral combat ship.
