The Lebanese war has left a classroom of children injured or dead daily, according to UNICEF Deputy Executive Director Ted Chaiban. This is equivalent to the equivalent of one classroom daily since the beginning of the conflict. According to Lebanese health ministry figures, at least 111 children have been killed and 334 wounded in Israeli strikes on Lebanon since March 2. The deaths are among 1,200 children killed across the region in recent weeks - nearly 200 in Iran, four in Israel, and one in Kuwait. Israeli strikes have killed more than 900 people in Lebanon and displaced more than 1 million people, including 350,000 children. Chaiban called for a de-escalation of the war and for the humanitarian notification system to identify aid organizations' locations and operations.
