Giants’ top draft pick Arvell Reese opens up to The Post about moment that ‘turned my life around’ before football stardom

Giants first-round draft pick Arvell Reese, an Ohio State linebacker, has spoken about his mother, Maeko Walker, who suffered a stroke in eighth grade and is the reason he continues to play football. Reese found out about the stroke while at home when his mom was at a football game and had two brain surgeries. She was away for a while and underwent extensive rehabilitation, and is now in therapy for it and back talking. Reese credits his mother for creating him and supporting him throughout his career. He also credits his success to his mother who supported him in football.
