NFL Reportedly Ready to Hire Replacement Refs, Latest on NFLRA CBA Talks Ahead of Looming Deadline

The NFL is reportedly ready to hire replacement referees due to concerns over negotiations between the league and the NFL Referees Association (NFLRA) ahead of the deadline of May 31. The league has begun recruiting college-level officials and is expected to approve a set of replay enhancements to support replacement officials in upcoming games. The training of the new replacements will begin May 1. The current collective bargaining agreement with the NFLRA is set to expire soon.
