The Cobb County Commission is set to accept a $1.74 million grant from the FIFA World Cup Grant Program for security during the event. The county had requested nearly $3.5 million, mostly in overtime pay, food service supplies, and security equipment. The only approved item was funding for homeland security. Some of the funding requests were not approved or only partially funded. The funds will be available from July 4 2025 to Aug. 31.
