The Connecticut Lottery has changed its policy on announcing winners to not include their full names in order to protect them from potential scams. As of Oct. 2025, the lottery will no longer publish their names without their written consent. The winning ticket was purchased by a Darien resident who purchased the "Emerald 8s Extra Play" at One Stop Variety in Norwalk.
