Egyptian Cardiologist Alia Abdel Fattah Wins Global Award for Heart Imaging

Egyptian Cardiologist Alia Abdel Fattah has been awarded the 2026 Gold Medal for Global Impact in Nuclear Cardiology by the American Society of Nuclear Cardology (ASNC). The award is given to physicians worldwide who have significantly advanced the discipline globally. Abdel Fattaah, a professor of critical care medicine at Cairo University’s Kasr Al-Ainy Faculty of Medicine, is set to accept the medal at the ASNC Annual Scientific Session in Las Vegas. The ASNC gold medal is awarded to no more than one recipient a year and is open to physicians and researchers worldwide who make significant contributions to advancing nuclear cardiology globally.
