Feds intensify investigation into Tesla's Full Self-Driving (Supervised) software

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHS) is increasing its investigation into Tesla’s Full Self-Driving (Supervised) driving software in low-visibility conditions. The Office of Defects Investigation (ODI) has upgraded its probe to an “engineering analysis” level of scrutiny, a step often required before the agency orders a recall. This is one of two investigations being conducted by ODI, which is also investigating over 80 instances where Tesla‘s driver-assistance software has violated basic traffic safety laws. The agency has not received all of its requests from Tesla regarding this investigation.
