Blanche: Alleged WHCA dinner gunman not ‘cooperating’

Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche stated that the alleged gunman, identified as 31-year-old Cole Allen, is not cooperating with investigators. The suspect is expected to be arraigned in federal court on two charges related to using a firearm during a crime of violence and assault on a federal officer using a dangerous weapon. Blanche also suggested that the suspect could be charged with attempting to assassinate President Donald Trump, who was rushed out of the ballroom at the Washington Hilton after shots were fired. The preliminary investigation revealed that the suspected shooter was targeting members of the Trump administration.
