The weather will continue to be above average for the weekend, with temperatures expected to reach the upper 60s to near 70° for the Wasatch Front and lower 80s across SW Utah. A cool front is expected to approach the northern half of the state on Saturday, bringing an isolated chance of showers and thunder. However, a significant cool down is expected on Sunday, with daytime highs only reaching 50° and mid 70s for northern Utah. There are indications of a potential extended period of above-average temperatures for the remainder of the year.
