Oklahoma Gov. Kevin Stitt is considering a special session of the legislature to ban the use of artificial intelligence in political ads. This follows a News 4 investigation into an AI-generated attack ad in the Republican primary to pick his successor. The ad uses AI to depict Republican gubernatorial candidate Mike Mazzei appearing to embrace Hillary Clinton. The founder of the PAC defended his use of AI, stating that the use is not precedent setting. Stitt also expressed concern over the use, calling it "dishonest, swamp-style politics" that has no place in Oklahoma elections.
