The stars of Madonna, Gracie Abrams, John Legend, and others have signed an open letter calling for the closure of an ICE Detention Center in Dilley, Texas, urging the federal government and CoreCivic to return children and families to their homes and communities they were taken from. The letter also includes endorsements from Billy Porter, Brandi Carlile, Darren Criss, the Indigo Girls, Kesha, King Princess, Lance Bass, MUNA, and Sara Bareilles. The signatories stress the harm of detaining children and express their desire to end child imprisonment. The petition is currently open for anyone to sign, with over 4,000 signatures.
