Kamala Harris, former VP, has endorsed Karen Bass for the LA mayor's position, stating that she has done much to address crime and homelessness in the city. Bass, who is currently serving her first term, has faced scrutiny over her handling of the deadly Palisades fire and allegations of directing the "watering down" of an after-action report on the January 2025 blaze. Despite these controversies, Bass leads with 25% of voter support, while a quarter of Angelenos remain undecided.
