Goldman Sachs (GS.N) has appointed insider Akila Raman as the global head of its private and alternatives capital markets business, focusing on capital raising, structuring, and distribution solutions within the lucrative asset class. The bank also appointed Michael Voris as the Americas head of Equity Derivatives. These roles are part of Goldman's Capital Solutions Group, which was created last year to focus on financing large deals and providing loans to corporate clients.
