Upper Peninsula man to spend life in prison for murder of college student, hockey player

Tanner Dunbar Harrison was convicted of second-degree murder for the death of 20-year-old student and hockey player at Lake Superior State University, Katie Robinson. The crime occurred during a police chase in 2021 in Pickford, Michigan. The case took nearly five years to reach trial due to injuries sustained and Harrison being deemed incompetent to stand trial. A memorial girls’ hockey tournament is held annually in Robinson's honor.
