FAT Brands, a subsidiary of Twin Peaks sports bar concept and Smokey Bones barbecue chain, has shut down all locations following its Chapter 11 bankruptcy filing in January. The company had made clear choices about which brands it intended to support, including Twin Peaks and Smokeys. The decision was made before the company filed for Chapter 11 was made, based on financial performance. It also announced that it will close 15 underperforming Smokeys Bones locations by the end of the first quarter in 2026. All remaining Smokey Bone locations have reportedly closed, a move that was not publicly announced in advance. The bankruptcy filing was negotiated by the court, Wiederhorn, and the company’s restructuting executives. The remaining locations have not responded to media requests.
