Lyclecle driver, Miguel Molina, has described a carjacking, a pursuit, and a crash that escalated into a ride from Broward County to northern Florida. Molina had recently started driving on the Lyft platform due to his previous job and the easy money it would provide. He jumped into the role of a rideshare for a longer ride, which resulted in his truck being mangled. The incident occurred when Molina stopped to pump gas in West Palm Beach for a gas stop and suspect Delcan Murphy was left alone in the car, leading to Molina and his stepson following Murphy for two miles while they were on the phone with 911. Police have arrested Murphy on charges including grand theft and property damage.
