Andrew Kurka, a three-time Paralympian, won a bronze medal in the super-G at the 2026 Milan Cortina Winter Paralympics, and was named one of Team USA’s flag bearers for the closing ceremony. Despite a disappointing first event, Kurka managed to secure a bronze and win two days later. He plans to consider his future in Alpine skiing and possibly transition to other competitive outlets. Kurka's career has been marked by injury, including a broken thumb and humerus bone during his 2022 Games. He started his athletic career as a wrestler before transitioning to skiing.
