NATO’s Air Defense Downs Iranian Missile Over Turkey

The United States has confirmed that an Iranian missile has been destroyed by NATO's air defense systems. The missile was detected over Iraqi and Syrian airspace before being destroyed. The Pentagon has stated that it is unlikely that the implementation of the Article 5 mutual defense provision will be initiated.
