A video of a high-contact 3-on-1 drill at Southeast Missouri State University (SEMO) has sparked controversy among former players, coaches, and analysts. The video, which was originally posted online, appears to show a drill with low tackles at a SEMO football practice. Some former NFL safety and now analyst Ryan Clark and former SEMO punter Adam Heston have both criticized the drill, while others defended SEMO head coach Tom Matukewicz. Matukeicz argued that the drill and scrimmages set the tone for the upcoming season, noting that the team had recently undergone significant changes in their coaching philosophy.
