Wendy’s brings back discontinued menu favorite after customer uproar

Wendy's has reintroduced its Sweet and Sour dipping sauce after months of customer backlash. The sauce was removed from its menu in 2025 as part of a menu shake-up that included several originals, including Ghost Pepper Ranch and BBQ, and replaced with a new lineup featuring Signature, Scorchin’ Hot, Creamy Ranch, Honey BBQ, Honey Mustard and Sweet Chili. The decision to remove the sauce led to a wave of complaints from fans, forcing Wendy's to reverse course in December. Despite this, the company announced that the sauce will only be available for a limited time if customers show their love by ordering the sauce and liking, commenting and sharing this post on Instagram.
