Dom Bird's new indie, EarlyBird, has received its first commission for an extended edition of BBC series The Marvellous Miniature Workshop, presented by new Radio 2 Breakfast Show host Sara Cox. The 20-episode episode, which involves expert miniaturists recreating buildings and locations tied to contributors' personal histories, has been extended to 45 minutes. EarlyBird has a first-look studio deal with Amazon and will continue to exec Gladiators and the BBC's version of The Apprentice.
