Former Yelp manager, Joey Coffin, turned an inside joke into a serious side hustle, creating a business out of "Vacation Darts" out of an idea that began with a hat and started selling apparel and generating revenue. While working full-time at Yelp, Coffin built the business while working on the website while his job was in the process. He left his position in January 2026 and joined the business, which has since processed over $125,000 in transactions over the past year. The success of the business initially made it more crowded, but he now feels confident about his future in technology.
