Apple's Liquid Glass design, introduced with iOS 26 in 2025, remains controversial and divisive six months after its release. Despite some developers and internet users believing the UI overhaul would be abandoned, Apple has confirmed that it will continue. A three-day event called "Let's talk Liquid Glass: New Design Workshop" was held at Apple's New York City offices to guide developers on how to implement Liquid Glass in their applications. The workshop also revealed Apple's response to developer dissatisfaction with Liquid Glass, which was reportedly expressed by the Design Evangelists team. Xcode 27, along with the corresponding iOS 27 and iPadOS 27 updates, is expected to launch at WWDC 2026.
