Extreme heat puts pets at risk across the Valley

The Arizona Humane Society has warned pet owners to take heat precautions due to high temperatures across the country. It is illegal to tether dogs outside in high temperatures in many cities such as Phoenix, Glendale, Tempe and Chandler, and even if it's too hot for their paws, it could cause them to get tangled and unable to reach water. The society also urges owners to consider the Good Samaritan Law to help rescue pets in a hot car.
