His family claims that it took over an hour for the paramedics to arrive and may have been mistaken for drunkenness. Despite being put into an induced coma for three weeks, Hawley survived a stroke and underwent major rehabilitation and became a father in 2023. He claims that the pressure from pushing the car may have exacerbated his stroke.
