No. 19 Oregon defeated No. 6 Oregon State 7-3 in a crucial regular season game at Goss Stadium. Oregon used a strategy that involved 10 different pitchers, all of whom were all relievers by trade, and five with five or fewer innings pitched on the season. The team managed to score 13 runs, while Oregon State struggled with runners in scoring position. Toby Twist (3-0), who struck out the side in order in the fifth, was one of six Oregon pitchers to not allow a hit and one of eight not allowing a run. Despite this, Oregon State's coach Mitch Canham acknowledged that the team still has time to grow.
