The weekend was a weekend of failure for the Trump administration, highlighted by President Donald Trump and Vice President JD Vance, who both failed to reach a peace deal with Iran. While these two men endorsed Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán in the country's general election, while they failed to help him win, Trump was golfing in Florida and threatening to use the U.S. Navy to block off the Strait of Hormuz, which has already been blocked by Iran. Meanwhile, the president also revealed that gas prices could continue to rise ahead of the fall midterm elections, despite promising to reduce them. The failure of these two endorsements was seen as a significant blow to Orbaán's chances of winning the general election.
